Staying motivated with content creation can be difficult, especially when you have other aspects of your business to tend to.
We have all heard the ‘inspirational’ quote- “if you aim for the moon, you’ll land in the stars” and it could be our least favourite inspirational quote of all time.
We’re not against setting big goals- we are against setting unattainable goals without the appropriate sub-goals. When man first aimed for the moon, we had already created the engine, powered motion, achieved man-powered flight, sent a dog to space, a human to space, and successfully orbited earth. There were a LOT of steps before the moon, and these steps were the reason we made it. Now look at us- off to Mars!
ONLY having a BIG goal can actually be super DEmotivating- it stops you from feeling that delicious sense of achievement you get when you hit a goal! Not only that but it can greatly contribute to feeling massively overwhelmed and burnt out.
So, here are our TOP TIPS for staying MOTIVATED with your content creation GOALS:
✨ Set Micro Goals
Small attainable goals will help you stay motivated by dripping you with constant dopamine!
✨ Make Your Goals Specific
If you can’t tell when your goal is complete, it’s not a good goal! We recommend setting numerical goals, that way you KNOW when you have ticked the box!
✨ Reward Yourself
It doesn’t have to be big, but rewarding yourself with a treat evert time you hit a goal will help you keep your eye on the prize.
✨ Set yourself up for success
Establish clear work/life balance. One of the main contributors to demotivation is having too much on your plate with a lack of down time. Block out time specifically for your content creation to stay on top of it! Hustle culture never helped anyone!
